Discover the Piano lobby, part of Befimmo’s Quatuor office building complex!
Its large surface and impressive ceiling height were key elements ncbham took into account when designing, as they aimed for a warm and cosy space for clients and employees. Upon entering, the first point of attention is the bespoke streamlined reception desk, made of stone, tiles and brass. Spectacular velvet curtains, reminiscent of the lounge bar golden era, then offer guests a time-travel moment, leading the eye to the heart and soul of the space: the piano lounge and its magnificent instrument.
To illustrate this project visually, we decided to experiment with layering images to create an immersive visual experience and to surprise the viewer by inviting them to explore the spaces from multiple perspectives simultaneously. We also incorporated an element of surprise: filming the building first without people and then with people present.
For the sound design, we started with silence, followed by ambient sounds of the space in use. We also included a few piano notes and sounds generated by the architectural elements of the space. The result is a unique and complex musical composition.
